18 Muharram 1431 (4-01-2010)

Munir MohammedMalaysiaRespected Brother,Your e-mail dated 4-01-2010)

The word, ‘Allaah’ is exclusive with the Muslim community. All non-Muslim communities have their own designation for their deities intheir own languages. If Christians and other non-Muslim communities use the term ‘Allaah’,it is bound to create confusion in the minds of uneducated Muslims. Inthese times the Christian missionaries are using Qur’aanic verses inArabic to mislead ignorant Muslims especially those living in remotevillages.

They use the term ‘Allaah’ and Qur’aanic verses to createconfusion.Fourteen centuries of usage has made the term ‘Allaah’ exclusive withthe Muslim community. When the word, ‘Allaah’ is mentioned, it comeswith the concept of Tauheed. But if it is used for an idol or a ‘god’of trinity, then it will be used in a false context because theIslamic concept of Tauheed is inseparable from the word, ‘Allaah’.

There is no religion which has the lofty concept of IslamicTauheed. Tauheed is not associated with the word ‘god’ or with anyother designation given to any other type of deity in which peoplebelieve. Tauheed is not restricted to the meaning of unity or one. Itis an elaborate concept which is conveyed by only the word, ‘Allaah’.It is our advice that Muslim organizations should fight the issue inthe highest court of the country. It should be argued that the word,‘Allaah’ is associated only with Islam. No community in the worldsince the past fourteen centuries had appropriated the term ‘Allaah’for its god/deity. The court’s verdict infringes on the religioussentiments and beliefs of Muslims, hence it should be set aside.

Today they are allowed to call their god of shirk ‘Allaah’. Tomorrowthey could call their bible the Qur’aan and create considerableconfusion. Just as the term ‘Qur’aan’ is exclusive for the Islamicscripture, so too is the word, ‘Allaah’ for the Deity Islam. ThisDeity has attributes which are integral to the concept of Tauheed.May Allah Ta’ala assist Muslims against the rising tide of kufrwhich Muslim governments are today espousing.

Was-salaam
